“On July 7 at about 5 p.m.,Mr  Adilewa Taiwo dorcas father, reported at Ketu Police Station that he received a call from a  phone number which her gave them, and that his daughter is been held hostage that he should provide the sum of six hundred thousand niara(600k) if he ever wants to see his precious dorcas.

However investigations commenced and and given that the teens were not smart enought, their phone  was used to locate them.

They were traced to ijebu-igbo, ogun state where she was been kept by her accomplice.
.
The commissioner said that while the search was ongoing at Ijebu-Igbo, the location of the supposed kidnappers changed to Ikotun in Lagos.

When they realised that the Police were closing in on them, the supposed victim decided to call the complainant to inform him that she has been released, after he had deposited the sum of N8,000 naira in her UBA bank  account.

The CP, said that when dorcas was being interogated upon her release, she confessed that she actually masterminded the self kidnap with her friend, one Ogunbanjo who provided the house and the phone they used in carrying out thier plan.

Investigation is in progress and on completion, the suspects will be charged to court accordingly,” he said
