Three men have been reportedly struck to death yesterday thursday, after encountering with lightning folliwing a heavy rainfall in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state.
The tragic incident occurred opposite the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium road in Ijebu-Ode at about 3 pm in the afternoon
According to some witnesses the victims, and a fourth person, had came down from their motorcycles and ran towards a small place to seek shelter from the rain when tragedy struck.
Three of the four victims were said to have been struck, while the fourth person ran away unharmed.
However, nobody had the courage to go near the corpses for fear that the striking of the three men was done by sango (the god of thunder) as punishment for wrong doing.
