Men of the Department of State security(DSS) have blocked the entrance of the National Assembly in a perceived bid to impeach Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu.
According sources, the senators belonging to the All progressive peoples party(APC) in support of president Buhari, which are also the majority in the house, plan to impeach the senate president and his deputy.
Members of the House of Representatives and staff of the National Assembly are being prevented from gaining access to building.
It was learnt that some 30 pro-Buhari Senators allegedly met with the director general of the SSS, Lawan Daura, last night to plot the impeachment.
It was also gathered that the senators have planned to elect senator Ahmed Lawan as the new senate and Hope Uzodinma as his deputy.
Recall that a few days ago Some lawmakers insisted Senate President, Bukola Saraki, quit his position having decamped from APC to PDP.
