The United nations agency has announced the death of former UN Secretary-General and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Kofi Annan. He was said to have reported died following a brief illness.
Late Kofi Annan was born in Ghana in the year 1938. He was the seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations. He served from 1997 to 2006 (nine years).
In 2001, He and the United Nations were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize “for their work in ensuring a better, organized and more peaceful world.”
