The lagos state police command have arrested a security officer of a private school and his banker brother-in-law, jerry bankole for attempting to disappear with over 24 million niara they stole from the school’s account.
The spokesperson of the Lagos state police, in the person of CSP Chike Oti revealed that the proprietress of a popular private school in the state has filed a report of some missing cash from the school’s purse.
The report came in to the Lagos state commissioner of police CP Imohimi Edgal from the school’s proprietress that the criminals have made attempts to steal the sum of N2.4 million in total from the school’s account on four different occasions. She claimed that all these were done within the period of April and July 2018.

The commissioner of Police acted quick on the report and sent out a crack team of detectives from the State Intelligence Bureau led by CSP Vera Ameh to get the criminals behind this.
It was after some thorough investigation that Kunkle Abolarin, the school’s security guard was arrested. He confessed to the stealing of the N2.4 million. He added that he did not do it alone but had help from one Are Jerry Bankole, his brother-in-law. Mr Bankole provided the Diamond bank account used to withdraw the money for the various times they hit on the school.
Both suspects are currently in police custody, Kunle told the police he now regrets what he and his brother-in-law had done to his boss. He said that she was so nice and even placed his four children on scholarship.
The Commissioner of Police advised all employers to be careful of whom they employ. He said that all employees be thoroughly scrutinized before being employed. He added that employers should endeavor to keep their checkbooks, and other personal account information safe.
