A dead man has made president buhari’s list 50 high profile nigerians banned from travelling out of the country theeasterntelegraph is reporting.
Innocent Umezulike, a former Enugu State Chief judge who was buried last month, is 1 of 50 persons banned by Buhari from traveling.
Justice Professor I.A Umezulike who was the longest serving judge in enugu state and remarkably the second in nigeria, served for 13 years before his demise last month.
Justice Umezulike was also a legal luminary on Conveyancing, Adverse Possession, Land and Property Law haven single-handedly authored and published over 23 books in these fields.
He passed away at a private hospital in London, United Kingdom surrounded by his beloved children last month and nigerians have been left in shock as to how he made the list.
Justice umezulikhe was recommended for compulsory retirement by the National Judiciary Council, NJC, in 2016 following petitions against him by an Enugu based lawyer.
He was subsequently taken to High courts in Enugu and Port Harcourt by EFCC, and his bank accounts frozen over some of the allegations which led to his forced exit from the Bench.
