A 43-year-old timber contractor, Aluko Ramoni, has been killed by thunder, while cutting an iroko tree in ifira Akoko town of Ondo State.
Confirming the incident, the Divisional Police Officer, Isua Akoko, Biodun Ojediran, stated that Aluko and another of his business partners, Gbenga Oniyere, were in the farm, yesterday, when the sad incident occurred.
It was also learnt that after the incident, the people of Ifira contacted the sango (god of thunder) worshipers as it was a taboo to touch such corpse.

However, where his corpse was to be buried was said to have caused a major issue, as the traditional worshippers reportedly insisted that he should be buried in the forest, going by the cause of his death, But his family members preferred that he be buried at home.
