It was reported that a 28-year old man named Fidelis Michael, had committed an abomination according to the royal tradition of the Ejigbo people of Lagos. He was arrested for allegedly kissing the daughter of the Monarch of Ejigbo publicly.
Witnesses say this sacrilege took place in Ejigbo market area where Princess Dolapo went shopping for some items. When the action of the young man was spotted, it was immediately reported to the Oba.
News gathered say that when the information reached the Oba, he sent out his guards to apprehend the young man and place him in police custody.

The Police had taken the young man, Michael to the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for prosecution over the mention offense. The Police report at the court said that the defendant had kissed Princess Dolapo in the market without her consent but the accused pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector G. Simon, requested the court to give a date for hearing for the police to come up with evidence that Mr Michael kissed the Princess without her consent.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.K.J. Layeni, then granted the defendant bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum. Mr Michael will remain in police custody until he pays his bail condition. Mr Layeni then adjourned the case till the 3rd of December, 2018.
The Oba was said to have made it clear that he was not against men asking for his daughter’s hand in marriage but engaging his Princess in immoral acts especially in public places was not decent and against their beliefs.
