Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he wants to rebuild Manchester United around Paul Pogba.

Solskjaer has been delighted with Pogba since he began working again with him at Old Trafford last week and the midfielder’s form has been transformed.

The French World Cup winner has already scored twice and made two assists in Solskjaer’s first two games and the United caretaker boss says he is key to the team.

Pogba wanted to leave United because he was so unhappy under Jose Mourinho, but he is central to Solskjaer’s plans.

“I think Paul’s a top, top player,” said Solskjaer, who coached Pogba with United’s Under-18s and young sides. “He’s one of the best top, top players in the world.

“You should be tired towards the end of every single game. He’s been top class and he’s someone we’re looking to build a team around, of course, but there are so many quality players.”
