The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Danielson Bamidele Akpan, promised to supply President Buhari with 20 million votes in the coming elections, when the association visited the President in Aso rock.
The visit comes during the ASUU strike which started on the 4th of November. NANS had given an ultimatum to both the FG, ASUU and ASUP over the lingering strike.
The visit seemed a cordial one, as the students even wished the President a belated happy birthday. This has caused Nigerians to criticize the move by the students as they believe the association has taken the side of the FG.

Meanwhile, the 8th former President of NANS and human rights activist lawyer, Abdul Mahmud, has distanced himself from the association, asking that they remove his name from all records of the association.
The renowned lawyer condemned the act of NANS threatening ASUU whom he claimed were their historical allies. He also condemned their ill advised visit to Aso rock while students still suffered from the continued strike action.
He expressed his disappointment via series of tweets and disavowed himself from the actions of the association.

When we say NANS is the most USELESS Students' Org., You don't need to go far to confirm it.
