Video: APC Gubernatorial campaign flag-off attacked by thugs, MC Oluomo stabbed in the neck, two others killed

The APC gubernatorial campaign flag-off in Lagos today ended abruptly when thugs attacked and killed two people, stabbing MC Oluomo in the neck.

The NURTW Boss and alleged Oshodi street lord was stabbed in the neck at the Governorship rally held today at the Skypower Ground Ikeja. He has since been rushed to the hospital where he is reported to be in critical condition. 

Although the thugs are still unidentified, members of Oluomo’s camp have fingered Kunle Poly’s faction of the NURTW as prime suspects.

The stabbed NURTW boss who was beside Sego and another prominent member of the union when the incident occurred, was rushed to the hospital by the National chairman of the union, Tajudeen Agbede and others.

The thugs had turned up with various weapons including guns and daggers and disrupted the rally when incumbent Lagos Governor, Akinwumi Ambode was giving a speech. He had to be rushed off the stage together with his deputy, Mrs Idiat Adebule, the APC governorship candidate, Mr Babajide Sanwoolu, and other prominent members of the party to safety. The thugs had engaged the crowd who had attempted to fight back. 

NANS reports that numerous party members had to trek home as there was heavy traffic on the roads.
