Video: AY claims to have invented the ‘zanku’ dance, Zlatan Ibile reacts

Popular comedian, Ayo Makun aka AY has claimed that he was the one that invented the ‘zanku’ dance years ago prompting rapper, Zlatan to react.

He revealed this on instagram with a snippet of his upcoming webseries titled ‘AY’S MEMOIR’. The comedian revealed that he had noticed the widespread dominance of the new dance.

He said that people had wrongly given the credit of the dance to someone else when he was the true inventor of the dance. 

He revealed that he had invented the dance a long time ago at his comedy show, AY Live. He said the credit belonged to ‘Prophet AY’, his alter ego. 

The video showed the ‘Prophet AY’ at the a show some years ago dropping ‘the moves’. 

Indigenous rapper Zlatan, aka Zlatan Ibile who is well known for bringing popularity and attention to the dance replied to AY’s post.

“Zanku here, Zanku there Chai! Jesus you do good o”  he commented on the post.

Zlatan gained some recognition after dropping a guest verse on Chinko Ekun’s ‘Able God’. He would go on to fully introduce and name the dance ‘Zanku’ through his hit single ‘Zanku Legwork’ which he claimed is an acronym for “Zlatan Abeg No Kill Us”.

AY would reply the rapper saying:

“@Zlatan_ibile I know say you get wisdom. Enjoy promo and carry go. Na our work. If you know you know. Jesus good still plenty for your career”
