A player of the Nigerian football team, the Super Eagles, Samuel Kalu has collapsed during training today ahead of the team’s first AFCON match.
Kalu had to be rushed to an hospital in Egypt ahead of their match.
It was gathered that Samuel Kalu collapsed while trying to take a corner kick during training.

He was promptly stabilized by the team’s medical staff before taken to hospital for tests.
The test taken at the hospital, revealed that he was dehydrated and was consequently advised to take more fluids.
“BREAKING: Nigeria player Samuel Kalu suffers heart attack in training ahead of tomorrow’s game against Burundi,” read a Twitter post.
The footballer has had a string of bad events in the last few months as his mother was reportedly kidnapped after which he sustained a hamstring injury while on club duties for French club Bordeaux.
