A group of Internet fraudsters aka yahoo boys led by one Kenechuwku Eze have murdered a lawyer known as Barrister Emmanuel Emeka Agundu after he swindled of N18 million of the proceeds of their fraud.
The lawyer who was the branch chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Obollo Afor, Enugu State, was reportedly an accomplice of the yahoo boy syndicate but decided to defraud the fraudsters after he received the money into his account.
The revelation was made on Wednesday when the Enugu State Police Command paraded 33 suspects for their alleged involvement in criminal activities carried out in different locations in the state.

The state Commissioner of Police, Balarabe Suleiman, said Eze and his group shot and killed Agundu on September 2, 2018, and he was arrested on July 10, 2019.
39-year-old Eze, who was based in Morrocco with his band of fraudsters revealed that the N18m was paid by a victim of theirs into the lawyer’s account.
The agreement had been for Agundu to send the money back to them while keeping his share as he was a part of their gang.
He said that not only had he withheld the whole sum but he had also threatened to report the matter to the authorities. This was what prompted his execution.
