Popular Nigerian actor and politician, Desmond Elliot, has advised the Government to ban foreign movies in the country so that Nollywood can thrive more than ever.
The lawmaker representing Surulere constituency at the Lagos State house of assembly proffered his solution in an interview with HIPTV.
He stated that the approach to make the Nigerian movie industry needed to be intentional and meticulous.
He also reasoned that the difficulty to access foreign material would promote growth of local content.
Honorable Elliot said this strategy needed to be adopted in all other sectors of the entertainment industry.
