Inter Milan have tabled a new bid of £64.7million plus add- ons for Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku.
United rejected Inter’s opening bid of £54m several weeks ago, but the Italian club have come back with an improved offer.
It is understood the new offer is an initial fee of £64.7m, with add-ons and performance-related clauses potentially taking the total figure to £75m.
Although United value Lukaku at £80m, there is a desire to get a deal done as quickly as possible, to enable them to
bring in a replacement before the transfer window shuts tomorrow.
Lukaku is staying away from United in the hope of forcing through a move, after falling out of favour with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
