Nigeria’s foreign affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama has reacted to the fresh xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa which included burning of shops and properties.

The attacks which have escalated recently have prompted some Nigerians to hide in bushes to escape death.

The attack began just after the South Africans allegedly raided the Nigerian embassy in the country

While reacting to the videos, the minister announced that the Nigerian Government would be taking definitive action.

He tweeted:

Received sickening and depressing news of continued burning and looting of Nigerian shops and premises in #SouthAfrica by mindless criminals with ineffective police protection. Enough is enough. We will take definitive measures.
