Aston villa 1-2 Liverpool: Red hot Sadio Mane rescues Reds at the death

Sadio Mane came to the rescue for Liverpool with a last gasp goal that ensured all three points against Aston Villa.

The home side took the lead at Villa Park through Trezeguet, who fired in following John McGinn’s free-kick, with the goal
given after a video assistant referee check.

Roberto Firmino thought he had equalised for Jurgen Klopp’s side but he was flagged for offside from Sadio Mane’s cross.

Robertson came to the rescue late on for the Reds to break Villa hearts with an equaliser, before Mane went one better to
secure all three points.
