COVID-19: I’ve swallowed so much spit trying to check if my throat is still working – Singer Adekunle Gold cries out

Nigerian Afro life singer Adekunle Gold, has cried out about the constant need to check his throat due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The disease which has a symptom of dry cough and throaty issues has ravaged the world with over 200,000 cases so far.

It has also seen an increase in confirmed cases shoot from 3 to 35 in a couple of days in Nigeria with several states affected.

Adekunle who complained about his constant throat checks condemned the poor health system and noted that the disease was a leveler of both the rich and the poor.

He tweeted:

I don swallow saliva taya to check if my throat still dey work. Enu ti gbe bayi.
Corona virus is a leveler. Rich or not in Nigeria, you fall sick? you are stuck. A very sad reminder of our broken healthcare system.
