Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus stars have agreed to take a pay cut due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Ronaldo who is the side’s top scorer this season with 25 goals in all competitions, earns a reported £496,000-a-week and has agreed to ease the finiacal burden on the Club.
The club have released a statement that read:
“Juventus Football Club communicates, due to the global health
emergency currently underway which is preventing the performance of the sporting activity, that it has reached an
agreement with the players and the coach of the First Team regarding their remuneration for the remaining part of the current sports season.
“The agreement provides for the reduction of the fees for an amount equal to the monthly payments of March, April, May and June 2020.
“In the coming weeks, individual agreements with the members will be finalized, as required by current regulations.”
