Odion Ighalo and his Manchester United teammates have been asked to donate 30 per cent of their wages to charity.

Club Captain Harry Maguire, sent the message to his teammates as the Coronavirus pandemic Continues to disrupt all sporting activities.

Maguire believes the donation will go a long way in helping the needy and those in the hospitals.

It comes after extensive talks between Maguire and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward about the players
making a charitable donation.

United, one of the richest clubs in the world, do not want the players to take a pay cut but are onboard with the desire to make a charity donation.

Many players have already made huge five and six figure donations without wanting publicity and Maguire wants the United players to get involved and to make a strong stand.

Nigerian international Odion Ighalo is expected to take part in the donation and has been in isolation since the suspension of the English premier league.
