Three patients of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Lagos state have died of complications due to the disease bringing it to a total of 10 persons.
This was disclosed by the Lagos Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, via his Twitter handle on Thursday.
He reported that those who passed away were of ages 51, 52 and 62 years old and that they were all male.
“Unfortunately, Lagos recorded three additional deaths from #COVID-19 related complications. The deceased are males aged 51, 52 and 62.
“One of the dead; a medical doctor had contact with an infected person who recently returned to the country.
“Other victims have no travel history or record of contact with any infected person. Total #COVID-19 related deaths are now 10. I hereby urge Lagosians to remain vigilant and report any concern about #COVID-19 infection in our communities.”
This brings the total number of deaths in Nigeria to 15 with Lagos recording the most of these.
Menwhile the Governor of Lagos state has announced the discharge of 5 new patients bringing the total to 90 persons in the state.
