EPL confirm one Positive Coronavirus case just days from restart

The Premier League have confirmed a positive coronavirus case Just days before the resumption of the league.

The latest round of testing in the top-flight was conducted on Monday and Tuesday.

This was the seventh round of testing, with the first six returning 13 positives and 6,261 negatives.

Today’s news comes just 24 hours after Manchester United cancelled a friendly with Stoke City at the last
minute.

It later emerged that Potters boss Michael O’Neill ha tested positive for coronavirus.

The two teams were due to play each other at United’s Carrington training HQ.

Although the latest Coronavirus case is unlikely to affect the Premier League restart with the league resuming in a week time.
