The Managing director of MultiChoice Nigeria, parent production company of the Big Brother Naija franchise, John Ugbe, has revealed the record breaking number of votes that were cast for the Big brother Lockdown edition.
He revealed this at a media briefing and presentation of prize money to Laycon, the season’s winner, today in Lagos.
He said that the show recorded 900 million votes (inclusive of online voting) from the different voting platforms and cost of producing the show was N3.5bn.
Laycon had defeated finalists Dorathy, Nengi, Neo and Vee to clinch the 85 million Naira prize. 30 million Naira of the Prize is in cash to be paid monthly in installments till the next BBNaija season.
