Gunmen demand N270million ransom for 9 kidnapped ABU students

9 students of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, have been kidnapped by armed gunmen with 270 million Naira being demanded for their release. 

The Nigerian French Language students of were abducted along the Kaduna-Abuja highway on Sunday, November 15. 

Dickson Oko, a student who managed to escape the kidnappers, revealed that the kidnappers had demanded N30 million Naira each from the families of the hostages. 

Also, a female relative of one of the kidnapped students told the Voice of America (VOA) Hausa Service monitored in Kaduna that the kidnappers have reached out to the family demanding for N30 million per student.

She pleaded with the kidnappers to have mercy and release the victims, saying they were only students.
