Security operatives allegedly resume searching of phones in Benin month after SARS ban [photos]

Security operatives in Benin have allegedly restarted stop and searching despite inspector general of police banning it about a month ago.

A twitter user who resides in the state shared photos of the operatives apparently going through the phone of a resident they’d stopped. He advised others to be careful.

Recall the IG of police had banned roving of tactical units and also searching of phones of individuals during the heat of the endsars protests about a month ago. 

The twitter user wrote:

Please raise awareness, phones are being checked by security officials in Benin. It has started again. #Endsars @fkabudu @GovernorObaseki @JackObinyan
