Nigerian singer Omah Lay has cried out and accused the Ugandan police of setting him up as Tems and himself have been charged to court after being arrested.
The Ugandan police announced that it had charged Lay, Tems and her manager for negligently trying to spread a disease which is the covid-19.
Omah Lay had taken to twitter to decry being In handcuffs and being made to be as scapegoat for some unseen agenda.
He explained that he’d simply being performing for a crowd and that he’d not organized the concert, hence he shouldn’t have to pay for that.
The trio are said will remain remanded by the police till Wednesday the 16th of December.

I’m just a singer trying to entertain, why am I being set up in Uganda?
I didn’t organize a show, I came on stage and saw teeming fans and sang to them…
Why am I being detained? Why am I not been given a right to a fair hearing?
Why is Uganda not letting @NigeriaMFA step into this? They have been trying to secure our release to no avail
Is there something bigger at play in Uganda? Why do I have to take the fall for it???
