Musicians Omah Lay and Tems have been released after being in Uganda police custody for some days.
Ugandan singer Bebe Cool announced their release as he’d gone to the prison to secure their release following a veiled threat by singer Davido.
The singer showed off the release forms which showed that all the charges had been dropped against Tems, her manager and Omah Lay.
Recall, Davido had called out Bebe Cool over his alleged involvement in the arrest of the singers.
Bebe Cool had in a post last week, revealed that his fellow artistes were struggling financially while obeying the COVID-19 rules and regulations in the East African country.
He then urged the authorities to get involved and stop the concert which held on Saturday because it gives room for the promotion of foreign artistes’.
He also threatened to do all he can to ensure the event fails, but it later held successfully with Omah Lay and Tems performing.
His post coincided with the eventual arrest of the two Nigerian acts, leading many to believe it was the doing of Bebe Cool.
Since then, several people including celebrities have called out the top Ugandan musician.
Davido, in a tweet via his handle, tagged the singer with the caption;
”Dem say you Dey fuckup @BebeCoolUG … no wahala .. on G”
He since seemed to put the matter aside after he replied Bebe’s tweet announcing the release of Omah and Tems.
