Nigerian Comedian Akpororo, has decried the sudden shutdown of gatherings in Lagos including schools, night clubs, by the Government.
The governor had ordered the immediate closure of these places which resulted in the cancellation of the comedian’s end of year show.
Akpororo said that he’d spent a lot of money trying to bring the sho alive and was distraught that no warning was given before the sudden closure so he could cut his losses.
He wondered how it was that the gatherings were being shut while borders were being opened by the president.
Recall, In a statement on Friday, December 18, the governor also ordered that all Places of Worship (Churches, Mosques, etc.) must ensure that no gathering exceeds two hours, and also that no gathering exceeds 50% of the maximum capacity of the Venue.
This comes a day after the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 disclosed that there are indications that Nigeria has entered the second wave of infections.
