Mega African act David Adeleke aka Davido, has spoken out about his rise to fame and his time in the Mohits house.
Recall, Mohits records was started by Don Jazzy and Dbanj and boasted other artistes like Wande Coal, D’Prince, KaySwitch and others.
A fan had taken to twitter to assert that Davido had never struggled in his career and had automatically become a star as he immediately started dropping hits.
He wrote:
Davido doesn’t have “When I never blow” stage. Came in with a hit.
David had replied that that was not the case and that he’d had that phase of life like everyone else. He disclosed that he’d actually spent a year with the defunct Mohits label.
Many were surprised to find out that the artiste had been with Mohits but had been unknown possibly after not being officially signed by the crew.
He tweeted:
I did o .. we all did … I was in mohits house for a year …
