Funke Akindele laments about financial status as fan asks her for giveaway

Popular Nigerian actress Funke Akindele, has cried out about the state of her bank account after a fan asked her to perform a giveaway.

Funke replied by tweeting ‘E Nu Gbe’ which translates from Yoruba loosely to mean “there is hunger”.

The actress was the tagged stingy by another follower who seemingly seemed disbelieving of the actress’s statement.

Funke however replied that she wasn’t stingy but that the economy was the reason for her prudence.

She tweeted:

Meanwhile, Funke Akindele-Bello and JJC Skillz’ directorial debut film “Omo Ghetto (The Saga)” was named Nollywood’s highest-grossing movie of all time, breaking a four-year record held by Kemi Adetiba’s 2016 comedy movie “The Wedding Party“.
