Popular Nigerian musician Damini Ogulu aka Burna boy, has arrived in his hometown of Port Harcourt after bagging a Grammy award.
The self-acclaimed African Giant was welcomed in the city by important dignitaries and fans as they echoed in-group ‘Odogwu.’
Burna Boy did not go alone, as his mother, madam Bose Ogudu also is spotted with him as the crew is entertained with cultural performances.
Burna’shomecoming concert is to hold today, Saturday 27th March 2021 at the EUI Event centre in the great city of Port Harcourt.
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike described the artiste as the pride of the state.
Wike spoke when Burna Boy, his parents and management team paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Port Harcourt on Saturday.
The governor said the state was proud of Burna Boy for the rare distinction of becoming a winner of the prestigious Grammy award.
“There is no Rivers person that will say he or she is not happy with the kind of pride you’ve brought us. I am very happy and I can tell you, whatever you think we can do to promote you, we will continue to do it.”
