Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba, has accused his family of fueling a damaging narrative that has endangered his wife, Natasha Osawaru, and worsened tensions following their public fight.
The singer, in a new video seen by Dockaysworld online, pushed back against claims that he needed to be “rescued” from his marriage.
His family had reportedly petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, alleging that Natasha was harming him and insisting they needed to intervene.
Friends and relatives were also said to have vowed to “free” him from his wife.
The new video follow days of public uproar triggered by a quarrel between the couple in London, which spilled onto Instagram Live and sparked a wave of speculation.
The situation intensified when a message reading “help me” appeared on the singer’s Instagram page, a post he later denied authoring.
2Face dismissed the rescue narrative as false and harmful, insisting that his family’s actions had created chaos and tarnished Natasha’s name.
In a previous video, he had called for calm, stating that his wife was in danger due to the fracas.
In the new video, he has described himself as fine and said the couple’s disagreements were private matters that did not warrant external interference.
He also warned that the ongoing backlash had put his wife at risk, stressing that the situation had become dangerous.
He indicated that he would address more details soon, signalling that the conflict within his family may run deeper than the initial altercation.
The singer appealed for calm, noting that every relationship faces challenges and that he and Natasha would resolve theirs without the heightened public pressure.
