Opeyemi Ayanwale, better known as Imisi, has been crowned the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, walking away with a ₦80 million grand prize after a dramatic and closely contested finale.
The 23-year-old fashion designer and aspiring Yoruba actress from Ibadan, Oyo State, made history as the third female winner of the reality show, joining Mercy Eke and Ilebaye Odiniya on the winners’ list.
Big Brother officially confirmed that the final prize stood at ₦80 million, following a twist that saw deductions made from the prize pool throughout the season.
Every request made over the famous red telephone was charged to the collective fund, including Kaybobo’s immunity, which was revealed to have been purchased using N10M from the prize pool.
The amount fluctuated several times but was eventually restored to ₦80 million before the finale.
Imisi became one of the standout personalities of the season, known for her humor, outspoken nature, and lively storytelling.
The final three were Imisi, Dede and Koyin with the two women being the finale two housemates after Koyin was evicted.
It was an emotional moment when Imisi was named the winner, with the crowd going wild and Dede immediately congratulating her. The quirky housemate took to the stage in her crocs, exemplifying the down to earth nature she’d displayed in the house.
Her strong “siblingship” with Kola and involvement in his on-and-off relationship with Dede kept fans talking, while her altercations with other housemates showed her fiery side.
Born on January 24, 2002, Imisi studied Fashion Design at Yaba College of Technology before stepping into acting and reality TV.
Prior to her win, she had told Biggie that she had not made any firm plans for the prize yet and would seek financial advice, admitting it was the biggest sum she would ever receive if she won. Fans look forward to her life after the show and what she has in store.
