The family of late Arise News anchor, Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, has announced plans for her burial following her tragic death in Abuja last month.
According to the family, a service of songs will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Corpus Christi Cathedral, Kaduna Street, Port Harcourt.
Her funeral mass and interment will follow on Saturday, October 18, at Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Agulu, Anambra State.
Maduagwu, a UK-trained lawyer and former beauty queen, reportedly died on September 29 after jumping from her third-floor apartment during a robbery attack at her residence in the Katampe area of Abuja.
Recall that many had been thrown into mourning after Sommie’s death resulted from an attack by armed robbers on her estate.
Friends, family colleague and well wishers continue to mount pressure on the authorities to find and administer justice.
Meanwhile, the security guard who also died during the attack, Barnabas was laid to rest the previous Saturday.
