MultiChoice Nigeria has again reduced the prices of its DStv and GOtv decoders to make entertainment more affordable for its customers across the country.
The new pricing, which took effect on November 1, places the DStv decoder at ₦7,900 and the GOtv decoder at ₦6,500.
The adjustment marks the second reduction in just a few months as the pay-TV company continues to find ways to keep its services within reach of more Nigerians.
In a statement released on Monday, MultiChoice said the decision was made to give families easier access to premium entertainment as the festive period approaches.
The company added that the new prices will allow subscribers to enjoy a wide range of local and international programmes without extra financial strain.
This recent cut follows a similar move in June under the company’s “We’ve Got You” campaign, which saw DStv decoder prices drop from ₦20,000 to ₦10,000 and GOtv decoders from ₦18,600 to ₦9,900.
That initiative was aimed at rewarding loyal and returning customers while attracting new ones.
MultiChoice also stated that it will continue offering a variety of content on both platforms, including international blockbusters, children’s programmes, and original African productions.
Sports lovers will still have access to major football leagues such as the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, and the upcoming AFCON tournament through the SuperSport channels.
The company said the move is part of its effort to keep subscribers connected despite economic challenges and stiff competition from global streaming platforms.
It hopes that the latest offer will help more households enjoy quality entertainment during the festive season.
