Reality TV star and entrepreneur Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has made history after Guinness World Records officially confirmed she broke two new records for the most cosmetic makeovers in eight hours and in 24 hours.
The announcement came on Tuesday via the official Guinness World Records account, which wrote: “Congratulations to @Symply_Tacha who set TWO new @GWR titles for the most cosmetic makeovers in eight hours AND 24 hours.”
Recall, Dockaysworld reported that Tacha completed her record attempt earlier in October 2024, performing 145 makeovers within 24 hours — the highest ever recorded in a single day.
The feat took place at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History in Lagos, where she began her marathon session at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, and worked through the night into the next day.
The event was monitored by Guinness officials, independent witnesses, and makeup professionals to ensure all transformations met official verification standards.
Reflecting on her achievement, Tacha credited her faith, late mother, team, and fans for their support. “I felt my mummy holding my shoulders when my knees were shaking. I carried her strength into that room and I didn’t stop,” she said. She also praised her team, saying, “We didn’t just work! We warred,” highlighting the effort and coordination required for the record.
The reality star thanked her fans, known as Titans, for standing by her. “When the world wrote me off, when I was blacklisted for being real, you held me up. Because you don’t stop, I will never stop,” she said.
Tacha named herself the the first Nigerian break two Guinness World Records in one sitting. She joined Hilda Baci and others in holding more than one title.
She hinted at celebrating the achievement for her upcoming birthday, calling it “the best gift secured.”
