Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has accused Senator Ned Nwoko of forging a voter’s card to conceal the true age of his wife, actress Regina Daniels.
Sowore made the allegations in a post on social media, where he also shared a photograph of Regina Daniels’ international passport to corroborate his claims.
According to Sowore, records show that Regina Daniels was born in October 2001 and married Nwoko in May 2019, at the age of 17. He alleged that the senator altered her official records after their marriage.
“Evidence now available suggests that Senator Ned Nwoko travelled internationally with his now temporarily estranged wife, Regina Daniels, when she was still a minor,” Sowore wrote.
He further claimed that Nwoko changed Regina’s name from “Regina Nneamaka Favour Ojeogwu” to “Regina Daniels” and obtained a fake INEC voter card to conceal her age after introducing her to drugs to enable him to force himself on her.
Sowore alleged that the couple travelled together to Jordan, the UAE, and Egypt using the same passport, which indicated that Regina was underage at the time. He added that Nwoko “never took her to England, the US, or Europe because he knew the implications.”
Describing the revelations as serious legal and ethical issues, Sowore insisted that no amount of political influence should protect the senator from accountability.
Recall Dockaysworld reported that Regina’s brother Sammy has regained his freedom after being in custody allegedly under the direction of Ned Nwoko.
