Nigerian singer Wizkid has deleted a series of old tweets containing highly inappropriate and suggestive comments about underage girls after they resurfaced online, sparking public concern.
In deleted tweets obtained by Dockaysworld, the singer made sexually suggestive towards a minor where he seemed to toy with the idea of disregarding her age.
A tweet read: “Damn!!!…dis girl is to00000000000 cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!… bt she’s 14..crying…she looks 19!.crying”
Another tweet read: “Show was funnn!!!!…..d cute 14 yr old babe was jst screaming..ahn ahn..plenty small girls jst dey shout..kai!!…lol.so girls like me?.lol”.
Yet another read: “Dis girl is too cute…I go bone age o…kai!!…”
The resurfacing of these tweets comes amid heightened scrutiny of past social media activity by public figures, following the recent controversy surrounding Paystack co-founder Ezra Olubi.
Olubi faced backlash after old tweets containing disturbing content emerged online, leading to his suspension from the company pending a formal investigation.
Netizens are seeking that Wizkid own up to his tweets and apologize rather than quietly getting rid of the evidence.
