Bandits attack Rivers State University campus, rob students

A group of armed attackers have reportedly stormed the Rivers State University main campus during early-morning study hours, leaving several students injured and dispossessed of their belongings.

An X user who identified herself as a 500-level student of the school narrated how the incident occurred.

She went on to share videos of several students who were injured during the attack.

In the videos seen by Dockaysworld, the students could be heard lamenting that they were experiencing such an incident for the first time.

They showed bloody injuries and recounted how they had to make risky escapes, yet were still robbed of their belongings.

The incident occurred during the commonly called “night class,” where students study through the night on school property.

The 500-level student confirmed that the attack happened within the main campus.

She tweeted:

“Btw my school (my class) was attacked on Wednesday. 4am precisely by people dressed as bandits armed with machetes and axe. They attacked people who came for night class and due to the event, some people (my course mates actually) had to break a window to jump out.”
