Identities of Anthony Joshua’s friends who died in Ogun road accident revealed


The identities of the two victims who died in the road accident in Ogun state involving world-renowned boxer Anthony Joshua have been revealed.

The deceased have been identified as Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele. Both men reportedly lost their lives in the crash that occurred on Monday afternoon along a busy section of the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.

The accident, which happened around afternoon, involved a Lexus Jeep conveying Joshua and a stationary truck. Two other occupants of the vehicle survived the crash, while the boxer sustained minor injuries.

Sources close to the boxer described Ghami and Ayodele as integral members of Anthony Joshua’s team, noting that they had worked closely with him over the years.

The Federal Road Safety Corps has already attributed the cause of the accident to excessive speed and wrongful overtaking, while investigations by relevant authorities are ongoing.

Following the incident, tributes have continued to pour in for the deceased, as fans and associates of the boxer mourn the loss of the two team members.
