Former Cross River Governor defects to ADC

Former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Duke was formally registered as an ADC member in Ward 5, Calabar Municipality, where he received his membership card amid cheers from supporters.

The defection marks the second time Duke has left the PDP, having previously joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP) where he emerged as its presidential candidate.

Meanwhile, the ADC leadership in Bakassi Local Government Area has urged Cross Riverians to join the party, reaffirming its loyalty to the national leadership and describing ADC as a credible platform for transformative change in Nigeria.
