Suspected kidnappers of Dr. Abu Babatunde, the medical doctor abducted in Auchi, Edo State, have been arrested after visiting the hospital where he works to seek medical care.
Dockaysworld gathered that the suspects were reportedly apprehended after bringing their sick baby to the same hospital where Dr. Babatunde is employed for treatment.
The arrest comes weeks after the doctor was kidnapped alongside his younger brother along City Pride Road in the Igbira Camp area of Auchi on January 1, 2026.
While the kidnappers demanded a N200 million ransom, the younger brother was later killed in captivity. Dr. Babatunde regained his freedom after spending 13 days with the abductors.
Police authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the arrest of the suspects or provide further details on the circumstances surrounding their capture.
