Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has appointed his daughters into key executive roles within the Dangote Group as part of a broader succession and expansion strategy.
According to THISDAY, Halima Aliko Dangote was named Group Executive Director, Dangote Family Office & International Offices (Dubai & London).
She will oversee the development of the family office’s governance framework and supervise operations in Dubai and London.
“Please join me in congratulating Halima as she steps confidently into this expanded role in service of our Group and the continent,” the note stated.
Fatima Aliko Dangote was appointed Group Executive Director, Commercial Operations – Oil & Gas. She will provide commercial leadership across the group’s energy businesses, including the refinery, fertiliser and upstream operations, while continuing to oversee Corporate Communications, Administration & Facilities, and Group Procurement.
Mariya Aliko Dangote was also named Group Executive Director, Commercial Operations – Cement & Foods Businesses, where she will lead commercial strategy and market expansion across the cement and consumer goods portfolios.
The company said the appointments align with its Vision 2030 ambition to become a $100 billion enterprise by the end of the decade.
