Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has dissolved the State Executive Council and sacked all Commissioners with immediate effect.
The move is intended to enable any of the affected Commissioners interested in contesting elective positions in the 2027 general elections to do so without occupying executive offices.
The Governor has directed the outgoing Commissioners to hand over the affairs of their respective ministries to Permanent Secretaries on or before Friday, April 3, 2026.
