APC lawmaker joins NDC
Lawmaker representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency in FCT, Joshua Chinedu Obika, has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) and joined the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).
His latest move came less than two months after he dumped the Labour Party (LP) for the APC.
The lawmaker had joined the ruling party on March 11, 2026, hoping to continue his political career under the APC platform.
However, he was unable to secure the party’s ticket to seek another term in the House of Representatives.
Following the setback, Obika decided to move to the NDC, where he is expected to receive an automatic ticket to contest for re-election in the 2027 general election.
His defection adds to the growing number of politicians moving into the NDC in recent days.
The party has continued to attract attention since former presidential candidates Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso officially joined the party on Sunday.
