Fubara speaks on dumping APC for NDC

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has denied reports claiming he dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2027 Rivers governorship election.

The governor reacted after reports circulated online that he was considering another political platform following claims that he failed to secure the APC governorship ticket for the 2027 election.

Fubara said the stories making rounds in the media were false and should be ignored. He stated that he remains a member of the APC and has not left the party for any other political group.

He also warned people against spreading information based on social media rumours or personal interpretations of political events. According to him, many people were twisting situations to create a wrong impression about his political position.

The governor maintained that nothing had changed regarding his membership in the APC. He said his main concern remains supporting the interest and growth of the party despite the political discussions surrounding him.
