Three members of the House of Representatives have dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for other political parties.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, read the letters of defection before lawmakers at the National Assembly.
Among those who left the APC were Shehu Dalhatu of Katsina State and Alex Egbona from Cross River, both of whom joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Also, Esosa Iyawe from Edo State resigned from the APC and moved to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
The House also received notices of defections from other lawmakers.
Etanabene Benedict of Delta State left the Labour Party (LP) for the PDP, while Gbefwi Gaza from Nasarawa State moved from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to the Labour Party.
Six lawmakers from Oyo State also left the PDP for the Allied Peoples Movement (APM). They include Anthony Adebayo, Adedeji Olajide, Sunday Makanjuola, Oyedeji Oyeshina, Fola Oyekunle and Adigun Adekunle.
Another PDP lawmaker, Auwalu Gwalabe from Bauchi State, also joined the APM.
