President Bola Tinubu will on Sunday depart Abuja for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave.
His Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday.
Onanuga said the President’s first destination will be London, United Kingdom, and that he is expected to return to Nigeria after the working vacation to join the campaign ahead of the January 2027 general elections.
Tinubu’s vacation comes as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 polls.
The Independent National Electoral Commission officially opened the campaign period on August 19, allowing political parties and their candidates to begin rallies and other campaign activities ahead of the January 16 presidential and National Assembly elections.
The President is expected to resume his campaign activities upon his return to the country.
