I was scared to tell Don Jazzy I was pregnant – Tiwa Savage reveals as she leaves Mavin records

Nigerian superstar singer Tiwa Savage, has left Mavin records after 7 years with the music label.

In a lengthy messages, she reminisced how she was scared to tell Don Jazzy about her pregnancy.

CEO of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy had gone on instagram to confirm the exit of Tiwa Savage from the label via an emotional message which Tiwa replied with an emotional story of her own. 

She recalled how Don Jazzy had handled her pregnancy and how good he had been to her. She labeled him her hero.

Don Jazzy also wished her success in her future endeavors and said they label would never find someone to take her spot. He also confirmed Tiwa was now signed to Universal Music Group. 

The Mavin Records CEO wrote:

Our darling Tiwatope. We at Mavin would like to say a very big thank you for being such an inspiration to all of us, a friend, a sister. It’s been an epic journey with you and we are very proud of what we have achieved together. As you start this new chapter in your life we want you to know that we are solidly behind you and can’t wait for the world to see what we have always believed you can be. Your jersey as the First Lady of Mavin will forever be yours as we do not intend to fill that position with anyone else. We love you from the bottom of heart and pray GOD’s blessings continue to follow you. Amennnn
